I see many around where I live.... but they are usually high up in trees, or bolt whenever I get near enough for a good shot. So I know what you mean. Nice one.

Great shot Chuck! He's a beauty. I hear and see these guys all the time in the woods near our house but they never come over to get their picture taken. :)

i've got one of those in my area and he sits on a vent stack on my roof and taps on it like a jackhhammer , which echoes through the house like crazy! arrrg! i even got a little video of him on my little P&S camera.
