Our new remodel is finally done ! 5 Exposure blend +- 2 stops with a 5D and processed with Dynamic Photo HDR. Tried to keep the HDR subtle, but should have went -4 stops to get the outside window scene better I think. Top shot has overhead out of scene tungsten lights turned on.

Great application for blends - and nicely done.
Could you not have fixed the window exposure and white balance difference in Photoshop? What I have done in the past is paste in an outdoor scene from another shot into the window - the selection of the glass area in the window is real easy.
If I was a client (end buyer) I would wonder what the true colour is.....maybe add some local contrast to the 2nd image?

I like that idea and am going to shoot the window again separately and blend it in. I did try some local contrast, but that also brought in a lot of red channel chroma noise on the front of the oven. So I backed it out a bit and used some Noise Ninja to clean up what was left. I'll try that again and mask it out this time. Thanks for the ideas !

I really like the first shot, especially the coffee pot...it's just like mine. :D

On the second image, It's hard for me to tell whether the colors around the window frame is natural or a bit of CA. As suggested, maybe you can mask out the window between the frames and paste in another exposure of the same shot...or use a different scene.

I like the processing in the second shot much better. It looks very realistic to what you would see if you walked in. Though, I agree with redoing the window. I think the OH lights in the first one threw your WB off a bit.

What a coincidence, we just finished our kitchen too. I took this shot, but never considered posting it.

Maybe we should start a 'Kitchen' thread :p

This was taken with a 550D using a 15-85mm at 15mm, 3 exposures, 0, -2, +2, w/Photomatix 4.
And I too could have maybe used a -4 to better capture the outside view.
