Here are my photos, minus the ones I didn't like, since I purchased my G3 in Jan 2003. Yes, I have been a bit slow in progressing, but I think I am making some great strides now.

I got this idea from seeing DanyaL's post EDIT: over a month with G3 pics...I liked the idea so I copied it. Admitedly, my photos are not as good as DanyaL's but I am trying.

Yes, feedback is welcomed, not going to say I will like it.

Nice pics Frederique, but are the fountain shots intended to be like that? I mean not leveled?

And here's my attempt. I'm a G3 owner since february 2003 and still learning. Learning will never end, but that's the beauty of it. Learning about exposure, composition and of course the right combination of those two.

All the shots were made with my new WC-DC58N wide angle and post processing include sharpening, levelling and resizing in photoshop. I still think it's a bummer that you can't use filters on the Canon lenses so on some of the pics I applied some post polarizing. A great set of photoshop filters for you to check out: Nik's Color Efex : http://www.nikmultimedia.com …teset/samples_start.shtml (external link)

and by the way, I think it's a good idea if people post their EXIF data with the pics. The EXIF data won't show if you have post processed your pics, but you can still copy/paste the data in the comments.

BurningArrow,

Great shots! Really clear but I love their color and tone. The place where you took the shots was a wonderful wonderland place, you are very lucky my friend to just be there.

Thanks for posting, I love those shots and I am going to add that link to my favorites photos folder.

Biggest Brightest Smile Ever, :D

Aloha niloligist and BurningArrow,

Nice pictures, i really like the one with a 'blue' car. Also i like the car:)

Ehm burningArrow i bet u are dutch. Ehm well soon i will go to the 'keukenhof' (i think) and will try to 'beat' u:) I really like the colors and the camera location.

In which mode (M i quess) did u shoot does pictures, and do u got any tips what settings to use as a basic guideline ?

Was wondering where did u buy (if u live in the Netherlands) the external wide lens ?

I try 2 post pictures of the keukenhof when the sun will shine again @ the keukenhof, so it may take a while :)

You know actually, many people seem to think a sunny day is the only perfect day to shoot photos. Personally I think getting the right exposure under overcast conditions is much easier because the overall lighting is even.

I got the wide converter at www.koopdigitaal.nl (external link) , they deliver very fast. The only thing I'm not too happy about is the fact that you can't fit filters because I would like to use a polarizer with my wide angle. Alas ...

Matt

BurningArrow,

You can use filters with the Canon lens, you have to put them behind the lens after the adapter. Got that info from this site.

Good luck,

speed,

Thanks for the kind words, I am still very new. I am trying though. When I first got my camera I was very intimidated and scared to use it. Well, that fear is going away fast and I have been using my camera everyday if I get the chance.

Practice is the key. My photos are coming out better and better, I am very happy about that.

G3 has made me more outgoing as well, I was a homebody until I got the G3, now I make-up places to go.

Well, I look forward to seeing your great photos, with the G3, you just can't miss, at least not to often. LOL

Smile,

Yeah i must agree with that, only if u shoot a picture with the sky in the background it isn't so nice. Anyway i did take my first pictures today and posted it in a new topic.

Thanks for the wide converter tip is the brand canon ?
Do u also need a Canon LA-DC 58B Adapterring ?
