hmm, I would not be surprised if it actually is made by someone like Jinbei. There are quite many similar looking ring flashes floating around on the market, Jinbei, Lencarta and Elinchrom all kinda looks the same.

Thanks! I do not have a ranger pack so I was looking for the Jinbei one, is it cheaper than the ranger pack + that head?

It's slightly cheaper, but again I have no experience with Lencarta so I can't speak of quality. :)

about 100$ cheaper but after shipping it will be less and at that point I would go Elinchrom.

Elinchrom has mastered the art of keeping demand for its product at levels much higher than it can manage production output at contract manufacturing locations in Asia. This keeps prices artificially inflated and profits high. On the other hand, it also creates backorder situations and long waiting periods for customers wanting to purchase the most basic items from them.

Bad business model, to say the least.

I've never had that problem, everything I've wanted my local dealers keep in stock, bit then again I've been able to buy two Mola beauty dishes from them when I read here that they were not available anywhere else so I consider myself pretty lucky. They carry the Profoto stuff too, I almost went that way instead

Never had the issue like this with the local distributer in Europe, so it might be the US distributer who can't keep stock levels up to the demand :P
