Paul Buff has mastered the art of keeping demand for its product at levels much higher than it can manage production output at contract manufacturing locations in Asia. This keeps prices artificially inflated and profits high. On the other hand, it also creates backorder situations and long waiting periods for customers wanting to purchase the most basic items from them.

Bad business model, to say the least.

dave

Fixed that for you.

Are you serious? When has Elinchrom ever been out of stock for something longer than a week? And ummm, you want to talk about hyping a product before it's even built?

And then PCB outsources a new parabolic umbrella design to China. They rip it off of course, then then he cries foul.

Dave, you clearly haven't a clue about the realities of these two companies.

 thats right, forgot about that...............but the customer service is great when they screw up and have faulty stuff leaving the factory after you have waited half a year

Kinda like taking a picture. Dont bother to get it right in camera, do it in post  Lazy crappy photographer style.

Don't try to confuse me with the facts, my mind is already made up.

Oh man, don't get me started. When I was an engineer in the music industry I always heard the expression "we'll fix it in the mix" and it drove me nuts. The amount of work it took to fix it in post production was huge compared to getting the track right on tape or hard drive.
