They're some of the people listed in the "credits" when Photoshop CS2 is loading.

Do I win a prize?

Unfortunately not, just my undying admiration and their eternal gratitude for being one of the few people to read the splash screen

Well I have not read it completely but I definately did recognise the first name "Thomas Knoll" as one of the people credited.

Thomas Knoll is the person who originally invented Photoshop and he's still involved with it, he works for Adobe.

The history of Photoshop is fascinating. Here it is (PDF file) through Version 5 as reported by Jeff Schewe on pixelgenius.com. There are pics of some of the names mentioned by neil_r and many others that scroll by on the Help > "About Photoshop" window.

I see Thomas all the time, but PS7, only lasts 2-3 seconds on that screen. I'm not a fast reader, so only manage to see a few names.

Hypnotize me and I bet I'll be able to recite every name that's in the credits. For how many times I've see the credit and the names there, since I started using PS a couple of years ago, I'm sure those names are etched in my subconscious somewhere.
