Has anyone tried a speedlight with PCB Foldable softboxes?

Since the PCB foldable softboxes are so convenient, I was wondering if anyone has been able to use them with speedlights. It would probable need a huge adapter of some sort.

Yes, you would need an adapter and a bracket to hold the flash. Depending on the size of the box you would have some practical limitations based on how wide a spread a speedlite can give.

That's good for the beauty dish.

But here's one that works with any AB/WL/Balcar modifier (reflector, softbox, BD, etc)...

Except the 3" pipe only holds a 420EX or 430EX. I'm working on a version that will use a 4" cap to allow the 550EX or 580EX to work, but the larger speedlites might end up flush to the base of the reflector... it's a tight fit to get them to protrude past the base.

Will these mods be strong enough to support the weight of the foldable softboxes?
