I would change the rear cassete to a shimano 105 10 speed as it comes with a Shimano 8 speed. I live in a very hilly area where at some points its almost a 45 degree inclince, downtown is flat so i need this for when i begin to approach where i live.

triple crankset shimano 52/42/30. Im looking to change that as well. This is when it begins to add up as the trek hybrids seems to have better components built in. Obviously the premium im buying into is the cyclocross body frame because im going to be lifting this bike every time i uses (up 5 flights of stairs since i live on the top floor of a building with no elevator and ill be going up and down stairs in the subway with it) with the versatility of it being able to use wide tires for when the need of off roading comings into play. A pure road bike wouldn't be able to take the thick tires a cyclocross bike can.

That the reason for having one speed dude! During my ride yesterday, there was an old lady rocking a one speed Dahon! I was impressed bcoz' she didn't move slow. :cool:

:lol: What i meant was that i wanted more speed but after a certain point it cant go much more regardless of how much i peddled. I tell you this much. It was a damn work out! :lol:
