GPU, as in graphics card

Last night i was playing bad company 2, it started spazzing, locking up and stuttering, i thought it was weird but i quit playing to do other things, Come to go back to play now and after 10 minutes it does it again

My motherboard is trying to give me some form of warning, but i cant read it as the warning box never displays, just simply crashes, i load up GPU-Z and my 570 is running at 82 degrees celsius...

-edit- i canned my game and its dropped to a more reasonable 60 degrees at idle..but thats still WAY too hot to me...I'm thinking somethings wrong with my heatsink, And yes, its clean

-edit2- down to 52 now..

Hmm......Well the idle temp of 52C is reasonable. I'm using a Radeon 5830 and its idle temp is 42C. Not sure what my temp is under load. I did a bit of quick reading and it seems that GPU's should be able to handle 82C no problem......Still quite hot, but not dangerous. I wonder if it may be something else?

Option 2, I'm running out of RAM, if i looked at my RAM utilization i was at 100% somehow...

All i know is my FPS tanked from 80 to 10

Hmm......Wonder why you were at 100% RAM utilization? Did you have anything big running in the background while playing the game? How much total RAM is it showing that you have?

Could it be some form of a virus? Those applications running should have you any where near max use.
