Could it be some form of a virus? Those applications running should have you any where near max use.

Nope, Checked that, Also the processes seem to add up to that amount

Firefox is chewing up the most ram on my system, i also have a lot of tabs open in firefox and minimized :P

Yup, have to agree. Somestimes I'll have a bunch of tabs open, but not usually for to long, as I don't really need to have all of them open for long.

Yeah i usually have a bunch of stuff up open but thats because i leave my laptop on all the time! I have to say this though. Apples power management is superior to my old dell xps by a mile!. I couldnt leave my laptop unplugged for as long as i leave the mpb now. Its really impressive. I also like how it has an auto save feature when the battery drops to 3%. Basically it will turn itself off but save your current state. Once you plug in the power source it will turn on just as if it was in sleep. No restart of the computer required.

Rezvan, Your money would be better spent on some lenses, The T1i is a pretty decent camera in terms of image quality, All you have are the two kit lenses, You'll see no difference in the 7D at all most likely without getting better glass

Exactly. Get a 70-200 2.8 MKII. Then get ready to be blown away! Swap out the 18-55 for something like the 17-55 2.8 as well. Will make your camera feel brand new!

I first suspected overheating because my motherboard was trying to warn me of something, My first thought with that is heat...

Maybe it was both lack of ram and heat
