Nick unless your getting the canon 70-200 F/4 IS don't bother, the non IS is useless without high shutter speed

the two choices IMHO are the f/IS and the 2.8 IS without IS on a long focal length your keeper rate will be low ;)

Just noticed the Tokina 11-16 is now 659 at BH. I could sell my used copy at a profit.

Ur hardware, not software. I am the EXACT opposite :) tho I do okay with hardware, just dont' geek out on it. I took shop class in High School and we had to make a circut board R2D2 that lit up, it was so cute! I got to use the smoldiering iron or whatever its called.
