For a more advanced read:

Aperture (external link) <--- OK, so its a quarterly, not a monthy. Still one of the best.
PhotoTechniques (external link)

And for post processing, someone brought a copy of After Capture (external link) magazine to my photo club meeting last week. Tips and techniques for lighting / post processing with a leaning to Fine Art / Portrait / Avant Garde.

I was very suprised to see that print subscriptions are free!

A good Canadian Photo magazine is PhotoLife. They publish some striking photographs.

PDN, I used to get B+W, PHOTO France (easier to pick up at Barnes and Noble than subscribe).
