It was a wonderful day on Wednesday. There was a large gallery but as always very well behaved. Both of these were taken on #16. There is a tradition, during practice rounds, on #16 that after hitting the tee shot the players will try to skip a ball across the water and onto the green. In the first photo Mark O'Meara, Tiger Woods, and their playing partner are all hitting their shot at the same time. The second photo is from the back of the 16th green with Ricky Fowler, Fred Couples and Phil Mickelson walking on.
I wore a vest and carried in my 300mm, 70-200mm and had my 24-70 on the camera. I left my 500mm in my trunk thinking it would not be allowed through the gates. I could have carried that in as well. I observed many non-press photographers with large primes. No post on these except to convert to jpeg and resize.
