Which Yongnuo for most power?

Hey, I'm looking to get a second speedlite for off-camera use. I already have a canon 580, so E-TTL and other advanced functions aren't important to me because I can just use my 580 if needed. I've been recommended the Yongnuo's over Vivitar 285 Hv's since they're newer flashes. But there's a lot to choose from, does anyone know what the best yongnuo flash is in terms of power output/price ratio? I am just looking for one with a lot of power since I'll be putting it in manual mode only.

I believe the 560 is the most powerful, but others should chime in as well. Its a manual flash.

the 560 i guess, can be had fairly cheap. they are coming out with the 565ex but it all fancy with ettl and wireless ettl triggering from your 580, or 7d/600d/60d w.e has on board wireless
butyeah the 560 full manual and can get a decent deal on them seen them as low as 60 before. right now on amazon there some on the cheap. has zooming head and can be used with an external battery pack

Yeah, Y560 is what you're looking for. I recently got 3 of them and with a light meter test, it came out right between 580EXii and 430Exii.

the YN-460II (which is cheaper) has been tested and has the same power as the 560.

but the 560 looks better, has a display on the back, and the zoom head.

up to you on which one you want though.

right, for price and performance with manual flashes it's hard to beat the YN460

I bought a YN-460II not long ago, it died on me really fast. I am talking less than 5 months of use, the big problem is that Gadget Infinity says that Yongnuo has to respond for the warranty. Yongnuo says they are more than happy to process the warranty if Gadget Infinity processes it. Yongnuo say they don't deal with costumers, only dealers. Just has to mention it to get it off my chest.

Would you say the zoom head and display back are worth $16? That's the price difference right now on Amazon. I know it's such a little difference, but if they have the same power then why even get the 560s unless the zoom head is that much better.

The better battery door and the audible recycle beep are probably worth the $15 difference to many people I would imagine.

u can also attach a battery pack to the 560 :P
i probably going pick up a 460II or 560
my 430ex doesnt like my cactus v4s
