After each especially strong gust of wind she settled down into the nest for a few minutes. After two or three weeks of incubation and another three or so of brooding she will be more than ready for a few days at a luxury spa.

Thanks for the comment, Flo and your fresh pair of eyes. I processed these with the monitor in print calibration mode, going more for fine details than impact on the screen but even at that did lose something in the blacks.
