Question about ebay 1000w continuous light

I have a question about this ebay 1000w continuous light. It states -

•Color Temperature: 3300K

What would that colour temp be like?

That light would be a total waste of your money. Replacement lamps - as well as replacement parts - would probably be VERY hard to find and probably very expensive as well.

As mentioned above, there's a reason that continuous lighting, especially at this level, is often referred to as "hot lights". Using it for portrait work, for example, would make you subjects very uncomfortable in a short time because of the heat and the continuous glare in their faces.

Flash lighting is generally considered a much better option for most types of photography these days. 40+ years ago, this was not the general opinion because the flash equipment back then was much more expensive, bulky, and not nearly as good as today's products. We did tend to roast our human subjects, though.  :p
