But people were there taking photos before prom. I'm not confident enough with my "people" work to take photos of them but I tried it out with a few stragglers, who were late to prom.

Not too sure about the vignetting... and no offense, but it's difficult to take photos of black people because of the exposure setting on the camera.

i don't like the vignetting on any of them, personally. i don't think it does anything for the photos. 2 & 3 are nice, but watch out for the poles! gotta remember to see whats behind the subject too.

good start!

Ha I was thinking the same thing about the pole in the 2nd pic, but I actually was glad it didn't come out of the top of his head!

Thanks guys, ill keep trying it out. The first photo I asked the guy if I could take a pic of him and it was lame. The 2nd and 3rd I just stood to the side while their parents were taking pics and took a few. After, I thanked them and showed them the photos I took which worked out better. Ill lose the vignetting, btw when is vignetting useful? It seems to work for topgear lol.

IMHO, when you can't notice it and it adds to subject isolation. Or if you are trying to replicate a vintage kind of look, but even then go easy and couple it with other aging/vintage effects.

Here are the photos with tighter crop and no vignetting, there's not much else I can do with them I dont think. The original's were pretty harsh to begin with. But my photo of a Crane wasn't so bad! lol

Crane's Roost park right?

No, I'm not a professional photographer, but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Those re-edits look MUCH better. If you're ever gonna use any vignetting, the best place to start is by first setting the style to "Colour Priority" or "Highlight Priority". I always find that paint overlay just looks awful. Then from there just inch it up a little bit, because you shouldn't notice it.
