I just got this from a different hobby interest I have (woodworking). It is a laser system for engraving photos onto wood using a laser engraver. Anyone ever tried this?? (They say you can get one of their laser engravers of "as low as $7995.00!! ) - Ouch!

Haven't tried it, but I have a friend that bought one years ago and engraved, wood and glass. Her husband did excellent woodworking and the engraver did an amazing job engraving photos onto wood. I'm sure she spend about $8k for hers, but she has not used it in some time now, and she was trying to sell it at one time and may have already sold it.

Yeah, I was surprised at the cost. With technology bringing costs down, this would take a very long time to pay off . . .

She would engrave photo frames, and was able to custom engrave trophies of all types and sizes and a few urns. Don't know if she ever got her moneys worth.

A machine like that can run an entire business, especially if there is no competition and you are near a military base. They are always giving away stuff. If you have the unit emblems and badges you could earn a living, especially adding in sports trophies and stuff like that.
