Any coupon codes for Adorama? I'm placing an order soon, but looking to get any deals available!

Your best bet is to follow AdoramaPix on Facebook http://www.facebook.com …=18885030945#!/AdoramaPix (external link) or Twitter https://twitter.com/AdoramaPix (external link)

Adorama uses sRGB for printing. In DPP do I need to set my Printing Profile to sRGB IEC61966-2.1? Do I need to change anything else to sRGB? Do I need to change the CMYK simulation profile to something other than "NONE"?

Same question on PS Elements 9.

Not my area of knowledge, so I've emailed the lab & will come back to you with an answer asap.

No.
Don't set anything for CMYK proofing in DPP.
Set your printer profile if you print from DPP, otherwise, it's irrelevant.
Set sRGB as output color space, and your monitor profile as monitor profile.

In PSE9, set it to use the embedded profile.

Thank you. I am trying to follow Rene Damlot's directions but not sure how.

I found Work color space & have that set to sRGB. Under Color Matching settings for Display I had sRGB checked but have no idea how to find the Monitor profile. When I click "Browse" it takes me to Windows; System32; spool; drivers; color, with the choices of RSWOP.icm or sRGB Color Space Profile.icm
In PSE 9 where do you find "use embedded profile?"
Sorry to be so dense.

Response from the lab: Hi, he did it correctly, just make sure that it is set to sRGB and no need to worry about the rest.

I hope this makes sense to you (as I said, I don't personally know about this side f the business) - but you can email me directly if you have additional queries and I'll pass them on: Helen@adorama.com (external link)

On Windows, there should be an option "Use OS setting" or some such. Choose that.

I don't use PSE, but IIRC, there are a few different settings for colormanagement.

As long as you export images from DPP with embedded profile (there's a tickbox for that in the export dialog), any of the later 3 options should work fine.

There's something to be said for choosing "Always Optimize Colors For Computer Screens" or "Allow Me To Choose" if you prepare for sRGB printing / web.

Adorama prints are awesome!

Here is a quick video of a photo book i made for my GF. Its a 12 x 9, 50 page book. It was great high quality fuji paper and the panorama seamless spreads always get a wow. Cant recomend them enough myself:

It is there, grayed out, of course!

I chose Allow me to Choose yesterday.

Since I cannot find the monitor profile on this laptop I gave up & chose sRGB under Color Matching: for Display.
Never did find Use Embedded Profile in PSE9.

Thank You for your help. I sincerely appreciate the time you gave me.

Ha, after all this, I forgot to see if they want TIF or JPG. I usually save as TIF. At least I can go to Adorama to find this one.:):):)

Thanks Rene, Helen, & every one else!

It should be in windows settings. Something like devices (OSX here)
But since you can't find it, I'm guessing you didn't calibrate it?
In that case, windows might be (not sure) using sRGB as monitor profile. So you should get a match between DPP and PSE. Might not be entirely accurate, but at least consistent between applications ;)

Don't use PSE either, so not the best wording when I said that.

If I read it correctly, the last three options (see the Adobe Help file (external link)) "preserve embedded profiles".

In the "Save" dialog, there also might be a box "Embed profile". If so, tick it. If there is no box, it might be Elements is doing it "behind the screens".

This is a PSCS4 screenshot on OSX, but I presume PSE on Windows is similar:

Adorama always does an awesome job with my prints. I don't use anyone else any more.
