I know they may not exactly be headshots, but a friend of the family entrusted us with their daughter as she attended a modeling/acting workshop, etc. On arrival she had a couple of photos, that although had great composition, were not of the caliber (I felt) that she should be handing out or be show at an event like this. So I played photographer, and my wife "art director" and we held this impromptu session in front of the hotel. These were some of the results:

Mind you this all took place in about 20 minutes with what she was wearing right at that moment. Most of the shots were ambient light, and all were processed in DPP.

I am not looking to get into this professionally, but I was pleased with these photos. There were 2000 kids at this thing and not all of them have the funds to get professional work done, and I was happy to level out the playing field for our friend...

C&C welcomed of course! Thanks in advance!

Between the lighting, backgrounds, what she is wearing and cropping - not really.

I like #4, even with the knee out front. Color is pretty good and eye contact and smile are great.

The rest are suffering from your light.

I think #2/3 has potential. I really want to see more details in those shadows, and could even use some more true white.

The color version is a little over saturated.
