Great pic... As a baseball fan, it's always nice to see baseball shots.
Which camera did you use?
I'm a little afraid to bring my expensive DSLR's to the ball field. I to argue my way into the stadium for MosterJam once and I'm gun shy about being turned away at the gate.

Great shot. For many years I lived a mile from home plate up the third base fowl line (Clark Street), and I'd walk down to a game or two each year. You've really captured the essence of the place!

There's some funny stuff going on in the photo. Hitter heading toward first, no first baseman, stadium or club personnel on field, 1 st base ump running to first base from the middle infield, old guy at far right is missing half his head, etc... I realize the OP stitched several different shots together and that's where these things generated from.

Cool look to the photo none the less.

This was taken with my T2i and the 17-40L lens.
To process the 12 shots in PhotoMatrix Pro was probably around 20 minutes and then to stitch them together in Photoshop was around 10 minutes by the time I was done playing with the levels and saved it.
Thank you everyone for the kind comments they are much appreciated from a noob.

Ill be honest, I read the title and thought, oh no...then was so pleasantly surprised when I opened the thread and saw this. Love the feel the converted HDR gives. Very nice work for sure.

I'm not a big fan of HDR except when I see stuff like this! Well done! I love the Old Fashioned look to it. I'll have to send this photo on to my Dad because he's a Cubs fan. He'll love it!

Stitched photos are almost impossible to get perfect in public type shots. that's what makes these so darn interesting. :)
