One was Canons photo paper pro II 4 x 6. The other was Canons photo paper pro platinum 13 x 19. Using Canons Pro 9000. The paper profile in CS5 was PR1 for both prints. In the printer properties I did select Photo paper Pro II for the 4 x 6 and for the 13 x 19 I selected Photo paper pro platinum. The platinum print was darker than the photo pro II. Is this due to just the different paper profiles? If you're afraid of failure ... you'll never succeed!

Using the wrong profile, you would absolutely expect to see a difference in the print output. Additionally, different paper types have different gamut ranges and white point, so even with the correct profile and media type setting, you'll still see a difference. Chas P

When I get the photo editied so it looks right in CS5 and then print it. With one paper I'm spot on and another darker than I would have liked. If you're afraid of failure ... you'll never succeed!
