No political commentary here, just photos of some of the changes that have occurred to the face of the capital this year. I've been into the black and white mindset/view of the world with my photo eye alot lately and so I decided to roll with it in a situation that I normally would've gone color, and I'm kinda pleased with the results.
When I first got into photography one of the first things I did was sign up for the school paper and get into photo journalism (editor Junior and senior years) and then I shot periodically for the College Paper; so there was an instilled journalistic sense in me from the get go, capturing some of what took place here, for history, even my own collection, brought that back for me and it was a good feeling.

I'll take some C&C though, this all black and white all the time thing is new for me (450D with the user defined parameters in monochrome with filters and other adjustments)
