I finally got up the courage to try this today after walking around downtown. Not nearly as good as yours but not bad for my first go out, especially considering how introverted I usually am. Ended up getting 4 people, so not enough yet to start a thread, but I agree with what you said earlier, the first one you ask you're thinking 'what am I doing?!' then it gets a bit easier form there. I was about 50/50 on responses.

I just stumbled on this thread and WOW, great work. I can't wait to see the previous threads from you now. I love the idea and your execution.

I've heard this several times... you can't be serious though? Like being published and all? Because I don't see this as publish material.

Or do you mean me just making one through a print lab like WHCC or something?

I'm not suggesting you are ready to get an agent and hit the remaining major publishers, but am dead serious about apparent potential. If you haven't already, I suggest you get to a good library and take a look at some famous photographers' work, especially candid portraits. I think you will see yourself on some of the pages.

How do you get the background so out of focus? is that done in post processing?

Great shots BTW

yes, as was stated you need a fast lens that shoot at 2.8 or faster.

For those not new to this series, I truly hope I'm not boring the heck out of you! :(

Well I don't know about them but for me (just finding these now) keep em coming. I can't find the first thread for some reason but no matter. I now have another use for my 100L macro I think. Not as fast as your 135L but still pretty fast.

Awesome shots for sure.

I'm lovin' the project. I just went through all of the past threads and decided I would like to try this. Although, I'm afraid of more no's than yes's.

You have inspired me to do something similar and also helped convinced me to purchase a 135L. Great work!
