From what I understand this plane flipped and is almost restored.
The snorkel on this picture, helps with carb icing.

The pilot had a "passenger" in with him giving a "joy" ride. The passenger stiff legged the rudder pedals during a loop and "locked" the wheel brakes. This is like setting the emergency brakes on a car. There is no "indicator" light for it and the pilot didn't know - until he set it down on the runway!! I am hoping to take pics outside once the snow is gone and the wing tip is fixed. It should be in the air this summer. Steve

My late farther was a serious RC model flier and I remember as a teenager in the 70's he had a rather nice sacle model of a PT17 which looked identical to this aircraft (well apart from only having a wingspan of of around 6 feet).
