I love the tonal range that you get with film, and the soft light here delineates every faint transition from light to shadow. Very powerful. Well done :)

Really very beautiful. I assume it's natural light, but if not, more props to you for making it look so subtle. The background falloff is really nice, and the film does make her skin look brilliant. Every reason to be proud of this one.
Pleased to see someone else developing too :)

Great work. This has me excited to finally shoot some more Delta 100 120!

Thanks man! Ah, 120...I need to get my hands on a nice medium format camera. The lighting was actually an ab800 through a white umbrella.

Props man, it looks really soft. I figured the falloff felt a little like strobe work, but super lighting. Definitely consider medium format, I have actually been shooting more film than digital, I love all the medium format I have, 645, 6x6, and 6x7. I don't want to hijack your thread, if you want to talk medium format, I'd be happy to haha. Scanning with a $180 Canoscan 9000F gives me full resolution 300 dpi prints at 44" on the long side. gorgeous.

No worries, feel free  Great portrait. Did you meter with a lightmeter, or maybe use a DSLR to meter this?

Believe it or not, I metered using my brain. I did bracket the hell out of the session, so there were some over and under exposed shots for sure, but this and a few others came out nicely. Next time, I am going to use the 5D to proof the settings.

Very nice shot - it has a great tonality for it.

I developed my first roll of B+W last summer, and more recently I have gotten into doing C-41 development (see my posted threads if you're interested). Film is so much fun :D.
