What (and how) to do with this beautiful girl?

Browsing my Eurotrip photos, I found this one that I really really like. It's a random girl from Kopenhagen.
Though I love this shot, my eyes keep going all around it because there are so many persons and busy background...

I want to bring the beholder's eye to just the girl. Specially her eyes and face.

Any suggestions of what (and how) I can do to achieve this?

The full photo can be downloaded on my website:

Feel free to download it, PP and post back (with instructions of what you did, please? :D) if you feeling like.
Thanks in advance!

I'd try faking more selective focus by using a blurred layer on top + eraser tool. I dont like the way her hands are so I'd crop them out, and also crop out the old dude and the girl on the left as her eyes bring my attention over there.

I dont like the photo. Too busy. Girl had awkward pose. Look like random street shot of a stranger that dont want to be photo'ed.

To bring attention to the subject. I would do a zoom blur to the subject for this photo.

Nothing is in focus to start with...looks like subject blur...... I would do something to accentuate this "quality". Not sure, what, since cropping is just going to make it worse.

Well, you could try cropping it to the portrait orientation -- I know that's cutting out half of the image, but it may suit the subject/composition better -- if I was taking the shot of the individual that's probably how I would have shot it.

I presume you took this in colour on a digital camera (given this is a digital canon forum).

I would apply two different types of B&W conversions to the whole photo, and the girl separately. So maybe a red filter on the scene and blue filter on the girl. You could also add grain selectively or a light texture on everything but her.

Layers lets you add different processing styles, while brushes will be enough if you like the idea of darkening the whole image, then 'burning'/lightening just the girl.

So bad you guys didn't like it. I really like this photo as for me it looks "natural"... even though it's not in perfect focus.
I'll try the suggestions above and come back with the results. Thanks for the input, guys! ;)

You shouldn't get attached too much to an image you have taken ;-)a

Blur, Burn, Vignette

Make everything darker and less sharp than the girl, and she will stand out from the crowd.

Just experimenting here; how about something like this as a starting point?

Cropped to 1:1

Local Adjustment Brush on background --
Clarity -100
Sharpness -100

Post-Crop Vignetting --
Amount +90
Midpoint 40
Roundness 0
Feather 55

Agree that the arm position appears very awkward. Cropping them just above the wrist looks ok, but not ideal either.

Blurred everything but subject then platinum toning effect from Alien Skin Exposure and then a dark vignette.

I like the shot really well myself. Seems like she is the only one aware of her surrounding.Considering its such a busy side walk with so many others in it.Like the way the back ground follows her path( building and such) in the background.Everyone else in the photo seems so consumed with themselves. She was the first thing i noticed.Bad that she was caught in such a awkward step in her stride. Kinda thinking that color her.Keep the background in B/W. . Of course i am really new to all this and probably don't know what the H!!! i am seeing . But i really do like it

She looks like she noticed her picture was being taken. She's looking right at the camera. (Nothing actually wrong with that). The hand/arm position is really distracting, I find.

I quite like it and can see why you'd want to try to save it despite the slight motion blur and off focus. Its a shame after cropping those things look worse.

Maybe she is just thinking "wtf" but to me its not really clear what her emotion is, also she doesn't appear to be doing anything, no bag, no shopping bags.
