It's time for my Verizon 2-year upgrade. Really torn between the iphone and Droid Pro...

Of course, as soon as I buy, the droid bionic will be released...

Opinions?

I have the Droid Incredible. I love it. It has been very stable. I rarely have crashes or hangs. I am in the same situation as you though, my contract is up next week and I wouldn't mind trying the IPhone. I think I am going to wait until at least July and see what issues the IPhone 5 has.

wait until the droid bionic comes out so you can make a more informed decision. supposedly it's going to be the end of this month so it won't be long to wait.

Android > iPhone

I myself am 95% sure that i'll be switching from Blackberry to Android in October when my contract is up.

I am a big fan of iPhone. It feels good. It has a great library of apps. Great Apple support and consistency. Android sounds good on paper, but having various specs and manufacturers make not all apps work very well on all phones.

I also support the iPhone decision. I'd wait and check out the iPhone 5, it's sure to be killer as usual. :)

I just like that there is supposedly a huge developer market that's "supposed" to be interested in the fact that droid is open (which it most certainly isn't btw) and Apple's not... however, all of the cool stuff and hardware integration (again, that people claim as a droid positive point) is MUCH more prevalent on the iOS devices. Heck, there are blood pressure monitors, other medical tools, etc... and yesterday and Oscilliscope was announce for the iPhone... which looks freakin' awesome.

Yeah, I guess the droidites will love having Flash, but when it comes down to things people actually use and all the coolness comes from Apple's stuff instead.

I think people are just against the iPhone because they don't want to be in the majority, just like a lot of old-time Apple fans would sometimes choose Apple, simply because they didn't want to be in the, then-majority world of Windows...

It's an interesting flip-flop for sure.

A vote here for Windows Phone 7. Decent hardware and not a bad OS. It works very well for me and is an antidote for the tired and tested icon based systems.

I enjoy my iPhone for various personal reasons. The decision is ultimately yours - take a look at both and see which would suit you better.

Not picking a fight at all, but they've released essentially the same phone every year to date. What's killer there?

Nothing against Apple products btw, I just don't praise them like everyone that owns one... Yes I do own one, but not a phone.

In reality, instead of asking for our opinions, you should go handle the phones yourself.
Android phones and iPhones do the same thing, it comes down to user preference.

Droid. And wait for the bionic, it shouldn't be too much longer. That way you can make the right decision. ;)

I have handled both phones as I have colleagues at work with each. And to be honest there isn't much to differentiate them because where you find a negative for one, you'll find a positive as well. Really just trying to see if there were any things I hadn't thought of...

Thanks for the input!
