I know they are in almost every TV show and movies now a days, but isn't this love of guns a bit much? Especially when buying something means pulling the trigger. Just sounds a bit violent to me.

Gasrocks, America has always had a symbiotic relationship to the gun. Our national heritage, economy, culture, politics, and entertainment are all melded in one way or another with the gun. There's no getting away from it.

Should we find another word for what happens when a flash is fired remotely too? Its a word that has expanded beyond its root usage, like 90% of the English language.

Woah, woah, woah!! Are you implying that language...changes?! And that it's OK?!!

Blasphemous!

I used to have the Sig30, sold and then bought it back, and then sold it again when I convinced myself I was going full frame... and then I bought 2 bodies... now I want it back!

I'm on the fence about it.

I already have a 50, so a 30 might not be very useful, i can achieve a lot of the same effect by backing up. I LOVE my 50, and I think I can love a 30..especially if it is built better than my 50. But I am just not sure yet.

If the sigma 30mm is build anything like the sigma 10-20 I'm sold....My 50 1.4 feels cheap next to the 10-20.

Can you say anything about the usefulness of a 30 when I already have a 50? Do you think it would complement the 10-20 and the 50 1.4?

Don't quote me on this, but it may originate in relaton to pulling the crank on the old-style cash regsters, rather than a gun. If you were pulling a trigger on a gun, you certainly wouldn't be paying :)

was an in-store pickup
when I ordered, they estimated Thurs or Fri delivery... then today at lunch I got the 'it's here' email, and it turns out the only day I don't bring a camera to work...

replacement should be here Monday :-(
