Cat, it definitely sounds like a rough day -- about the only thing I can say is that at least your Grandma has found some peace for herself...

Glad you're back safely, Z. Even with your daily reports, the place just wasn't the same.

Awww, thanks Tom.

Glad you and Leyla are back safe and sound and had a great trip.

Hi Guys. busy day at work - and I am glad to be home and relaxing, especially since Spike is cuddling again.

Thanks Heather, glad Spike is cuddling

Hey Zane, glad to see you're back.

Thanks Tim

Hi Guys, Tim Spike seems to be holding his own right now. The vet we were sent to (not our reg. vet) put him on a special diet for Urinary stones, so we have to wait and see. He wants us to do the diet for three months and see if the food is working. My only concern is that the other cats want to eat the food Spike is getting and I am not sure if it is good for them. Got to call the vet tomorrow and see what they say. When I sit down on the couch, he usually comes out and lays on my lap between me and the computer.

I hope the food works. Food management when one is on a special diet is a pain in the butt

Happy Birthday, Pete!
How is the cold?

Stopping in real quick before bed. (I should have been in bed hours ago)

My Grandma died this morning. :( She'd been suffering with Alzheimer's for several years, and as hard as it is to let her go, we are thankful that she's finally freed from the ravages of that horrendous disease.

2 of our H.A.R.T. dogs died today as well.
Cookie, our little black poodle who had suffered terrible abuse.
And Nani, our old chocolate lab with cancer who had just been hanging on for the last few months.

It's been a rough day, and I'm not sure I can cry anymore.

I head to Colorado tomorrow morning to be with Grandpa for a few days.
I don't know if he's got internet or not. I'm taking my laptop just in case.
I'll check in when I can.

Love and hugs,
Cat

I am really sorry Kit :( Big hugs to you and your family.

The cold is sorted thank you. I think I might well have mis-diagnosed myself and it's more probably hay fever instead....

Sending our condolences, Cat. Your visit, I'm sure, will be good for both you and your grandfather.

Both the pups will be waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for those who gave them the love they deserved in their last days. Hard as it is, even in these situations, H.A.R.T. makes just as big a difference as it does when they find the perfect forever homes for all the other dogs. ((((Hugs))))
