Stopping in real quick before bed. (I should have been in bed hours ago)

My Grandma died this morning. :( She'd been suffering with Alzheimer's for several years, and as hard as it is to let her go, we are thankful that she's finally freed from the ravages of that horrendous disease.

2 of our H.A.R.T. dogs died today as well.

{{{Cat}}} so sorry about grandma. May she rest peacefully. Very sorry about the doggies too. :(

2 of our H.A.R.T. dogs died today as well.
Cookie, our little black poodle who had suffered terrible abuse.
And Nani, our old chocolate lab with cancer who had just been hanging on for the last few months.

It's been a rough day, and I'm not sure I can cry anymore.

I head to Colorado tomorrow morning to be with Grandpa for a few days.
I don't know if he's got internet or not. I'm taking my laptop just in case.
I'll check in when I can.

Love and hugs,
Cat

Eli's class is doing 'their version' as he calls it, of the tempest tomorrow. He is a dragon and playing his guitar, this should be fun!

Do get photos :D

My cousin Harry (Jennings) has recently returned from Afghanistan so to unwind he and some of his army buddies have headed off to Nevada and California to unwind and have some quiet R&R.

There is a video of what they got up to which some of you may find fun.

Y'know, as bad as my fear of heights used to be, I think I'd actually like to do that some day!

One thing occurred to me, though... What elevation are they jumping from, do you know? I noticed none of them are carrying/wearing an oxygen supply, and it just dawned on me that I don't think I've ever seen skydivers with oxygen bottles. But, they sure do look like they're WAY up there... Doesn't breathing become a problem in that thin air? Or, are they not that high up long enough (or in the first place) to worry about it?

Lonnie, there is not an issue at the heights they are jumping at. There is a technique used in the military called HALO (High Altitude Low Opening) which is used to insert people undetected where you jump from +30,000 feet and open the shoot at about 300 ft. That needs an air supply. And if i remember rightly a change of underwear :-)
