short5 wrote in post #12606956 Okay, we are all family, may I bring up an awkward subject? Okay you have no choice. We put man on the moon and we can't have the little bidet nozzle on our toilets? I mean come on, every toilet in Turkey , other than the ones that are just a hole in the floor, had one. What a wonderfully civil and hygienic concept. We are a great nation of great achievements and we are all walking about with funky bums I don't get this Okay, you all can go back to your regularly scheduled forum now, thanks for listening even though you had little choice other than skipping my post. Most places in Europe and Japan have those Ever the outdoors man, you are. And instead of toiletpaper you use pine cones?

I totally laughed myself hysterical... .. It's Permie's world, we just live in it! ~CDS

Will be scarce this weekend though - RR Museum on Sat. Morning, Work Sat Night, then off to the county fair to promote the RR museum (on less than 5 hours of sleep) Belmondo wrote in post #12603629 Pete: Happy Birthday (a day late). Sorry I missed it. Neil: That appears to have been shot at Lake Elsinore, which is not all that far from us. It's sort of halfway between us and John/Heather. Yesterday was something of a marathon for us. We got up at 1:00am, left the house at 3:00am, drove to Northern California (almost exactly 500 miles), took care of a couple problems, left there at 3:00pm, and drove home with only one stop for gas. With incidental side trips, we drove about 1,050 miles yesterday, and pulled into the driveway at 10:30pm. I suppose I should be heartened to know we're still able to do that sort of thing, but we're paying for it this morning. We're both still bleary-eyed, and I'm having difficulty trying to get the curl out of my fingers. I did all the driving except for an hour on I-5 on the trip up, but Lois (to her everlasting credit) stayed awake and kept a nonstop conversation going with me which kept me from getting sleepy. In many ways, that was probably more difficulty than driving. I think it is somewhat remarkable that after 50 years, we still enjoy talking to each other. (I'm a good listener. :lol ![]() It wasn't all work and driving.....while we were there, I took an hour at my favorite train store. I am now the proud owner of a new locomotive (Southern Pacific GS-4 in Daylight colors) Lois used the same hour to visit her favorite Macy's. That is a long drive Chief. Glad you made the trip in good shape, and nice job on the locomotive. short5 wrote in post #12603858 Hi Deb You are very right about how lucky I am. I have no right to complain about anything. On a side note we are a bit concerned about Z-dots but it may be fro not. She was sick for a few days before we left, throwing up, a bit off her food. She seemed to recover and was only pukey once while we were away and that was after eating something nasty. My sis thought she looked thin and even rounded her cups a bit while she cared for her. Well when we got home we were both struck by how thin she was. Turns out she is 51 pounds down from 58 in February. She is thin. We took her in yesterday and her blood work is fine, will have poop sample results back today but other than that she is happy and active. It may be she was a bit thin to start and we did not notice then the illness and added stress of us away took a few more pounds, not sure. If the poop is clear she is probably fine short of some unseen major disease process but she does not act like she has something major. We bumped her food amount up a bit, will wait for fecal results and just hope it is nothing. Hope extra food helps Zdots. Give her some skritches for me.
