interesting word :D I like new words

I often go to check out the word of the day on dictionary.com. I have learned a few good words. Not sure where I will use them, even if I remember them, but it still massages the old mind a bit. :)

I rather like "woebegone" myself.

Ran across it today in reading the journal of a dentist who survived the great 1906 earthquake in San Francisco.

In a game of Scrabble I am playing with Deb's Andy, I opened it up and my letters spelled out EATSNOT.

As a good thing though, it also spells out NOTATES for a nice bingo. :p

Hey there guys, how's it going?

Many thanks to everyone who's offered to send Ali cards. If y'all want my address, then could you bug Lisa (I'm pretty sure she still has our address). That way, it'll be a complete surprise about who the cards come from!

I told Ali about the suggestions from Dan, she really laughed at them. I bought a copy of Winnie-the-Pooh today, so I'll start reading that to her tomorrow.

I do have it. I've already been bugged for it so glad you are okay with me giving it out.

and YAY!

Glad Ali got a laugh at Dan's suggestions. Lisa - can you PM the info needed for this to me?

First try of the technique I'll probably use to digitize my slides. Put them on a light table, take out the tripod and shoot!!

I'll do it tethered to LR so I can annotate them on the fly. I must however be careful to clean them properly before shooting. The PP will be too much otherwise.

First try with a picture from '98 shot in Greece...

That worked real well Didier....I like the effect that it got too.

Hey chaps. Hope you're all having a good weekend.

Ali's coping ok with the radiotherapy. It's taking a lot out of her, but she's still going...!

Today, I brought in a box with lots of plants, flowers, and herbs from the garden and talked her through how the garden is getting on in her absense.

That was nice Pete....very thoughtful.
