I know it sounds weird, but when I am feeling like I want some comfort food, I love to do a bagle with cream cheese and chopped garlic stuffed green olives. It sounds weird but tastes wonderful.

I like sour cream, just not with spicy foods, as it kills the heat and flavour. I know many do like it straight on foods, I just prefer mine cooked in stuff. Nachos, give me hot guac and salsa, you all can have the blah sour cream stuff. Too rich for my liking. :D

Mine are nothing fancy.....blue corn nacho chips, extra spicy taco meat mix (chorizo and ground beef), Monterey Jack, Mild Cheddar, Queso Quesadilla and Asadero cheeses topped with hot taco sauce and heated up until the cheese is nice and gooey. I like a dab of sour cream to go with them.

Gak!

GAH! Cheeze whiz is to cheese what Spam is to meat. *shudder*

And hubby is having a fried spam sandwich right now. It smells horrid!

Frank is having Battle Royale with a squirrel who keeps knocking down one of our bird feeders. He refuses to shoot it becuase he is 'Not going to take the easy way out' It is amusing me greatly.

 That would be very amusing! Chris would just blow it away though.

Lisa makes fantastic chicken enchiladas. Not certain how authentic they are, but with her homemade guac and salsa (some fools in the family use sour cream too), they are certainly yummy. :)

 I loves sourcream on mexican foods. Hubby of course hates it.

Hubby know best.....just sayin'. ;)
Not sure that sour cream would be authentic in the Mexican ways of eating, maybe Robert could fill us in.

I usually prefer tomato based sauces as well, instead of the real rich creamy ones. Give me a marinara over alfredo. I also prefer oil based salad dressings over the creamy ones. I actually really like plain old oil and vinegar. The only creamy one I care for is blue cheese. In most cases these are healthier choices too (or so I have myself convinced). ;)

Todays mexican cooking research seems to indicate Crema, or homemade sour creme is authentic and common, cheese, especially melted orange cheese, is not.

I like sour creme with Mexican in small doses. I don't think it takes away but rather adds flavor and softens the heat a bit.

Yet another softy sour cream freak.

It does add to the taste, but for me not in the way I would like. I prefer my spices un-softened. ;)
But you know, if I had a plate of Nachos put in front of me with the sour cream already on them, I would not hesitate to scarf them down. :p

Yogurt is used in the same way with some Indian cooking I have had. Kinda like how a glass of milk will lessen the effect of spices lingering in your mouth. I don't drink milk anymore either, other than the odd bit of the chocolate stuff. :)

Wish Curt & I luck. We are off to get props for Easter Sunday portraits at church. We are donating 100% the sitting fees to the Royal Family Camp fund raiser, the camp we are attending this summer as photographers. Prints will be at cost to those who order.

We need luck because it means Curt will need to step foot in Hobby Lobby.

Maybe supper at Tilted Kilt will soften the bruises. *shrugs*
