Just checked the prices on some 300 and 400mm lenses today and none of them (USA models) listed free shipping. I did a search on ALL Canon lenses and came up with the same results. What the hell?! Price increases, shipping costs...

Apr 13, 2011 00:00 | #10 Possible. I just find it strange that in the two years of shopping at BH, most of Canon's products had free shipping. Today, only a select few did. These included the Canon 60D, T2i, T1i, and a couple more. No lenses had free shipping, not even the 50 f/1.8. SOSKIphoto

Just the rising cost of fuel has affected this quite a lot. Imwould not expect any of this to get better in the next few years. Ms.Jannie

There is no free shipping. There is total cost to purchase something, and on top of that you can consider the value added (return policy, support, etc), if any, from the retailer. What's the big deal? ^ +1 - there is no free lunch. _____________
