In Photoshop, there is an image stack method called 'median' which is great for removing people at landmarks if you take a series of images. Here's an example.
Is there an equivalent in Gimp? I've searched but I can't find anything.

I've heard of special apps that can do fancy stuff like that but at best they would maybe be available as plug-ins. Tony
