I'm looking to add another light to the D-Lite 4 I already have. Choice between the D Lite and the BX 500.

Has anyone went with the BX 500 Ri and wished they went with the D-Lite 4?

Thanks
Joe

I bought BXri 500's first, then recently added a pair of D-Lite 2's. I mostly use them for background or hair lighting. The remote power control of the BXri's is very nice, but when mixed with D-Lites, you lose half of that utility. The BXri's can handle heavier modifiers and are built for more rigorous use.

Honestly, I would have been fine with 4 D-Lites. My plan was to sell the D-Lites at some point and upgrade to another set of BXri's, but there would need to be a good deal for me to do that, I'm pretty happy with the current setup. I acknowledge that D-Lites are not robust enough for many users, but I am pleased with them thus far.
