So, after having the 24-70L for a little while, I'm wondering if the 24-105L would of been a better choice. Trying to hand hold, I'm not a very steady person, so IS would be a great help, since using a tripod for everything really isn't possible all the time.

I prob need to rent a 24-105L so I can see if the extra stop or IS is better for me.

it'll help you if the subjects your shooting aren't moving very much. Are you having trouble hand holding at 1/125th at 70mm?

so far i haven't had any issues w/ the 24-70 not having IS. trust me you don't want to go backwards to a 24-105. if you shoot all the time at f/4 or higher though, then i guess it's a good choice.

if you get a chance post some pics that you are unhappy with that could have been better on the 24-105

Are you using a full frame or crop camera?
