That looks like something out of Nik Color Efex. I can't remember which preset. It has the effect of removing and flattening contrast in skin while leaving things like eyes, etc. alone. I don't recall if it also increases sharpening but those images are sharpened to the max (pretty well done, actually), a few being too much, imo.

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

Thanks I might look into that btw. I emailed them and this was some of the response.

MCP actions http://www.mcpactions.com/ (external link)
Totally Rad Actions (all sets) http://www.gettotallyrad.com/ (external link)

Kubota Actions http://kubotaimagetools.com …Ne2qa766acCFUHr7QodSC7mag (external link)

We're actually been using very little actions in our photos. Maybe just to punch the colors and sharpen for the web.

btw how good is that Nik program? I have $150 to spend on actions/ something good to make my images look better.

Depends on what you think is "better" ;-)a

You can download all the Nik packages as full working demos, for 30 days I think.

Also try the Topaz plugins. Not sure if their sale is still on.

Topaz Detail has a preset that is sort of that look. The presets can be modified so play around with them.
