I just read about the new Photoshop touch soon to be released so that one can use a touch device like iPad as an editing device to interface with Photoshop. I can't wait to try one of these aps out.

Sounds pretty neat. I'm interested to see how well it will work on an Ipad and ect.

yeah. I'm longing for SOME sort of better photoshop like usage for my ipad other than express.

The vid I watched about the coming ps apps didn't blow me away though. We'll see.

Well the cool thing about it, is that Adobe has released it's API out to anyone... So anyone with a love for PS and programing can make any kind of interfacin app they want for it. Gizmodo has an article about the first one created so far and I can see the possibilities. If only the iPad was sensitive enough to be used as a Waccom.

Bet it will be shocking to use...IMO The sensitivity of the Ipad screen is not condusive to a good Photoshop experience....Unless they change the screen sensitivity dramatically in future iterations nothing beats a mouse , Keyboard and a drawing tablet like intuois . The Ipad isnt even any good for RAW or large JPG general image editing . Its slow and clunky and the colors on the screen are all over the place like a mad womens breakfast . Maybe IPAD 3 0r 4 may have this nailed but I doubt it because the screen sensitivity using fingers is key to the use of Ipad and unless Apple develop a dual use Ipad that can have stylus / graphics tablet sensitivity as well as finger sensitivity (less) then I think it will be useless for image editing.

Well, I think someone will need to start a fun/funny thread:

"iPod Photoshop Touch Edits, Before and After"! It could be hilarious, if not inspiring:)!

Agree. My iPad is great for browsing, email and looking at images, but the touch screen sensitivity/resolution is very poor for doing anything that requires a modest amount of accuracy. Even taking handwritten notes is pretty horrible.

Also, while the screen colors, contrast and saturation are very nice, it's still not as good as what you get with a properly calibrated monitor.

IMO enjoy using an iPad for what it is and leave the image editing to a PC or Mac. :)

Agreed.

What I see myself using this for is the extended screen. If you watch the video about the first app created, its just a secondary view of the workspace that youre currently working on. You can have multiple people view your screen, or you can even view multiple ones. I have used my jailbroken iPad as an extended screen for quite some time at school as I like to work with multiple monitors. Thats the kind of functionality I like about the idea of PS Touch.
