I read all the threads I could find on this, but am still unclear of what I need to use two flashes, a 550 and a 580 ex (the original, not the II) as background flashes, wirelessly. I want to be able to use my skyports (not the universal) to trigger my Octa bank, and the 580 would be the master for the 550.
I am not totally against triggering my octabank by plugging the sync wire into the side of my camera, leaving the hotshoe available for whatever. Camera body is the original 1ds, if that matters.
There must be an adapter for the skyport out there, that would plug in to the 580??? I'm too tech stupid to figure it out and I'm screamin' UNCLE here. I will use the flashes in manual mode. Do I need to buy the skyport universal? I know zebraflash has tons of adapters for every combination of doodads, but I can't figure it out myself -- old dog, new tricks and all that. Help.
