the black border does help with the cinematic look, and I really like the image! The colors are really beautiful. Did you try cropping out the bright stones at the bottom?

perfectly timed capture...the position of the female subject's head sets the whole mood for the pic :)

are the borders really black? they look dark brown on my monitor....
