The most important piece of gear you own, resides in your head and its called your brain.

Or you may be able to pick up an iPF8000 for less since it is an earlier model. Main difference is the black ink was reformated. I have owned the iPF5000 since 2006 and to date, only had one tank fail which Canon promptly sent a replacement and never asked for the bad one back. Tank replacement sets me back close to $700 (130ml tanks x12) but it is so conservitive with ink it lasts a very long time. The iPF's also switches between the different types of blacks without swapping tanks so it really conserves the ink there too. It is an investment so take your time and shop around. "Whatever you can do to avoid Photoshop is worth it"
