Canon imagePROGRAF iPF825 can be used for printing photos?

im searching for a large format printer that can make decent framed prints. i was wondering if the Canon PROGRAF iPF825 is such a printer? when i check the canon website, they say its for CAD use. any usefulness for photography prints on this printer?

It's 4 color + matte black. I doubt it. Looks more like a poster printer.

Any recomendations you can give me based on similar specs as this printer but suitable for photography? I would prefer it to be a canon

How about an iPF8100? 44" wide format. Or you may be able to pick up an iPF8000 for less since it is an earlier model. Main difference is the black ink was reformated. I have owned the iPF5000 since 2006 and to date, only had one tank fail which Canon promptly sent a replacement and never asked for the bad one back. Tank replacement sets me back close to $700 (130ml tanks x12) but it is so conservitive with ink it lasts a very long time. The iPF's also switches between the different types of blacks without swapping tanks so it really conserves the ink there too. It is an investment so take your time and shop around.
