Looking for honest feedback please. Had an assignment yesterday to shoot my schools drill ceremony that we do every week. Since our parade field is huge, I was using my 5d2 w/ the 400mm and I must say it did not disappoint (in my opinion)

Nicely done! I really like that last one.
You might want to leave a space between photos, easier to look at.

"DO I SEE A SMUDGE ON THAT GLOVE MISTER?"

Just kidding, great shots all but I too especially like the last image.

hahah we just hand an inspection this morning actually, mandatory new white drill glove issue :p One thing to note though, I'm fairly new at PP, I just mess around with LR3 to white balance, vignette here,etc.. Also, all of these are jpeg, which get compressed when i edit/host, but most of the original files are very sharp. My goal for this shoot was to make drill look unique, exciting, and powerful to generate more enthusiasm for it within the corps of cadets. Here's a few more and thanks for the comments!!!

Those are nice! On the first set, 2 really interests me. I like the angle. I do like 3 and 5 as well. 6 seems cliche to me for some reason. 1 on the second set it nice too. Although I wish the 2nd row was straighter (nothing you can do about that)... I really like this. It tells a story, for sure! Great job, and keep shooting!

I really like the shots, but 2 and 5 are my favorites. My brother was a coastie and I wear a uniform myself, so pics like catch my attention, especially when they're done right.

I think yours are done right. Nice work.

Thnx all.

@Chris: I am a senior at the Academy right now, getting ready to graduate on May 18th, all in all it was an excellent choice for college! Hasn't just given me the opportunity for a business degree, but it's set me up for a meaningful career and for life. If you'd like more info about the Academy please PM me and I'll give you my email.

I can think of no better way for a young man or woman to dedicate a portion of their lives to than service to their country in some branch of the military. To learn of pride, honor and duty are core values that will enrich one for the rest of their life.

If the first two disappeared no one would notice. Things start getting interesting starting with images 3-6 and #5 is my favorite of that lot and #7 is my favorite of the series. One of the things you will discover is that you have to nail the frame for every image you post. A series is a set of images that tell a story but every frame must count. Every frame must be shot as a masterpiece all to its own.
