Would this require me to shoot raw? Cause I still haven't switched over to that from JPEG yet and still reading and learning about it before I do.

No you do not have to shoot raw... Here is your shot run through "noiseware pro" and then a little more USM to give more "pop"... It looks a little over processed but I think a print hanging in a restaurant would look pretty good. Congrats by the way..!

Bob is correct. I shoot almost exclusively JPEG and when I need to use Noise Ninja this works out just fine. Be sure to download and use the camera/ISO-specific profiles. These make a huge difference.

Where is the Noiseware pro and is there a free trial? Would you suggest that over noise ninja, that shot looks better but hard to tell with such a small attachment.

Thank you for the congrats and help!

Have you tried the built in noise reduction in CS5 camera raw (if you have it)? It's all I need and speeds up my work flow instead of going in to PS or running a macro.

I have CS4 however, this shot was not not taken in RAW only in JPEG.

I have so much to learn...

I downloaded both noise ninja and noisewar pro but can't use it without buying the license. Anyone willing to put my picture through it for me? Seems to help a lot

You can download a free trial of Neat Image, not sure about the others.

This was shot at ISO 3200 on a 1DmkII, slight curves adjustment, and light NR in Neat Image.

Drew, the demo of Noise Ninja is fully functional, but it plops a watermark on your image until you buy it…should be more than sufficient to figure out if you like it or not.

Nice shot. As a caniac, I especially like that this is Eric Cole.

The demo version of Neat Image doesn't put a watermark on your pic, but it hides the EXIF until you purchase. I like that better than the watermark.

I'll have to check that out the exif data won't be too important to me haha thanks!

I think the Canes will make a good playoff run next year. Skinner is only going to get better.
