I have a back yard and a porch window pointing to it. I think it would be stupid not to try to put a feeder and see what I can get this season.

Anything complicated about this or do I just go to homing beacon and pick up a feeder and put some food?

Anyone like to share photos of their setup?

My imagine composition sucks. I need a heavier lens.

Nothing special about a backyard bird feeder. If you have Squirrels around I would recommend a type of feeder with some mesh around it to keep the tree rats at bay but yet allow the birds to get to the seed. My main food for them is Black oil Sunflower seeds and I throw out mixed food for the ground feeders. I have two of each type of feeder because I like to change them out monthly using a clean one.

Nearby perches for the birds are a good idea. Also, try to place it in a place where you can have some cover while you take their pics!
Looking forward to seeing what you attract!

If I use hamburgers in the feeder do I get to shoot eagles? :D

I have massive trees where this goes, plenty of space to sit. I just have to figure out how to keep the sun on the feeder. I guess I'll have a home depot run tomorrow.
