remind me which weekend it happens on?! I have a "free" weekend the 18th & 19th - is the longest day the 21st? sleep in the car for 4 hours?!

I agree with the portrait meet, as well we STILL need to have our 50mm meet that we talk about every year or so.

Maybe I should get off my ass and organize that one?

Longest Day of the year is indeed the 21st of June (Summer Solstice) so the weekend of the 18th and 19th falls closest
