Just googled the hawk place - didn't realise it was so far out. I'll check timings and get back to you. I'm assuming we'd want to get there in time for the flying times?

Yeah - it's all about the flying times ... The end of day "wild heron" feeding is pretty cool to watch too - and I notice they now do that at the start and end of each day. They ring a bell and the herons know it's feeding time! Amazing really. Often they have wild kestrel /buzzards too !! Given a choice I'd like to get there for the displas, and stay for the feeding at the end .. But if you want to jump off at Reigate then i'm happy to adjust my timings to fit with your plans

Sounds great - particularly the Kestrels, my favourite bird. I'll PM you later with contact details as I've got a bus to catch now and won't really be online now until Saturday. Toodles...

Or you can just have the camera mount on a QR and take the camera off the rig, as opposed to the FF... Maybe it's just me but I cant see the point of a quick release for a follow focus.

Well for a start it speeds up build/break down times when moving the kit around but also allows you to move/reverse the FF quickly when you change lenses. I also move the camera between the full rig and a stripped down "man cam" rig quite a bit. Quick release means you don't have to remove the handles etc to be able to slide the FF on or off either set of rails.

If you don't need that functionality the the shoot35 looks great. That was my first choice before I saw the RR and it's hard stops. The QR is just icing.

I thought about it - but during work hours I can only access the forum from the iPhone and I can't find out how to grab the bcc code from
Flickr ...

I'll have to wait for another milestone!!

The BB code is on the main Flickr photo page under the dropdown next to the Facebook / Twitter symbols.

I look at the full site not a mobile version.

Yup - that link is ok when you're not using an iPhone :-( ... Just need to figure out how to get it on the iPhone as going into a browser automatically switches to the mobile site, and the iPhone app doesn't appear to have the sharing options! Bring on the arrival of my iPad - I'll be able to do so much more from work!!! Haha.
