managed to snap some Dragonflies at lunchtime - a bit of a botch edit on the iPad then transferred to the iPhone to post to Flickr (curse the lack of office Wi-Fi!) :D

What size hammer do you use in chemical engineering ? :)

This week has been a standard size PTFE hammer sorting out electrostatics in a fluid bed coater. Next week I'm in the US attending a meeting with a shed load of managers so will probably need a big sledge or a jack hammer to knock some sense into those politicking toss-pots.

on a tangent - anyone been to the New Forest? I'm, going next month for a few nights and I'd love to know where to go and what to see... any insight greatly appreciated!

your love the new forest Lee, ponies and deer everywhere, last time we went we stayed a couple of nights at Buckler Hard, lovely pub/hotel there really great food and beer, while we were there we wandered off on the woodland walk which runs next to the river/fields/woods, lots of oyster catchers, swallows etc, best of all though was the fields, where we sat at 5ish both days and watched a pair of barn owls hunting, I only had a 17-55 lens in them days so no pics but it was great to watch, the local chap there with a 500L said that they were there every day and had been for years....

Where's Wayne (Sharpshooter) when you need him?! he's a mechanic - I wonder if he's had to retrieve a phone in similar circumstances? might have some advice...

either that or get a bluetooth headset and leave it there :)

As for the managers, if there Americian ones, you've got no chance.

On the note of PP, anyone know of any lightroom courses or anything like that?

Thanks, I even remembered to save it as a preset this time! :D

Don't know about any courses but maybe have a look at one of Scott Kelby's books on the subject?

you dont really need to do courses imo - once you have the software it is pretty intuative. Just mess around with the sliders until you are seeing the results you want

Look up some things like 'split toning in Lightroom' etc
